The Project
The Australian eResearch Organisation (AeRO) identified that an integrated cross-provider service support was needed to connect researchers, eResearch providers, Institutional IT Support and infrastructure operators and thus the AeRO IT User Support Project was born.
The AeRO IT User Support Project aims to:
- Save Everyone Time Collecting Research Service Information
An open repository of research support knowledge available directly to researchers and all known service and support providers.
- Improve User Support Practices with Templates and Protocols
Standardise support templates and protocols to enable developers and service providers to incorporate mature consistent.
- Improve Service Usability and Researcher Tier 0 Self-Support
A directory of User Experience (UX) specialist services and conduct lightweight UX reviews of existing services.
- Support new research-led services
Support new research-led services, created from RDSI and NeCTAR through the improved UX support arrangements.
The AeRO Tick signifies that an eResearch application or service provider who have met the minimum requirements that this project is trying to achieve. A list of minimum requirements is outlined here.
