Pawsey joins AeRO

The Australasian eResearch Organisations (AeRO) is delighted to announce Pawsey Supercomputer Centre has joined AeRO as an Associate Member.

 

Pawsey enables and supports groundbreaking science to drive innovation across Australia and the world. Their services and expertise in supercomputing, cloud,  data-intensive analysis, storage and visualisation, enables research across a wide spread of domains including astronomy,energy and resources, engineering, bioinformatics and health science. The Centre will also underpin the operations of the Square Kilometre Array project, an international effort to build the world’s largest telescope.

 

Membership of AeRO – the industry association for Australasian eResearch that plays a critical coordination role for its members who are actively reansforming research via Information Technology  – further exemplifies Pawsey’s collaborative role as a international research supercomputing facility.

 Mr Mark Stickells, Executive Director of Pawsey confirmed “Pawsey views its partnership with AeRO as a key element to support the increasing need for collaboration across supercomputing and other areas within the national and international eResearch sphere.”

The AeRO CEO warmly welcomed its latest member “Pawsey plays a vital role as a collaborative international supercomputing provider. Our latest collaboration with Pawsey positions AeRO as a vital collaboration partner and we look forward to delivering a number of exciting initiatives in the coming months”
