The Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation (QCIF) enables eResearch for Queensland. Its facilities and services keep Queensland research at the global leading-edge, addressing complex challenges in bioinformatics, chemistry, engineering and physics, the humanities and social sciences.
With the help of QCIF and its members, industry and government are applying important eResearch-based innovations to advance mining, agriculture, transport, the environment, the tropics, medicine, and many other fields.
Established in 2000, QCIF’s six members are The University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University, University of Southern Queensland, Central Queensland University and James Cook University.
