AeRO’s eResearch Champions are the face of eResearch – they connect with people to share eResearch knowledge and experience and help promote eResearch within Australasia.
eChampions provide frontline support and often facilitate initiatives such as Data Clinics, Hacky Hours, and other research data support activities, and are a vital contact point for researchers. You can meet the eResearch Champions or find an eResearch support initiative near you or access the National eResearch Support Resources.
The eResearch Champions initiative is designed to help the community build itself – augmenting existing support communities, as well as identifying and establishing new initiatives supported by access to freely-available online downloadable content.
As well as connecting you into an engaged supportive community, we can help identify and support training and professional development opportunities to assist your role.
We’ll also provide an eResearch Champions kit of integrated print and online resources to help support researchers and make answering queries simple and easy, and coordinate the publication of additional resources as needed.
In return, we’d love you to connect with your site’s community by facilitating support initiatives (including Hacky Hours and training initatives) as well as becoming a representative voice for eResearch at networking events, workshops and conferences.
Anyone can become an eResearch Champion – all you need is enthusiasm and passion for eResearch and we’ll help you with the rest!
